Need a build
Hello!
I am very desparate. I am an elle. Anet doest want us to PVE. They made the final areas in GWEN and GW:P impossible for fire eles. I cannot find a good build fot these areas, not make one up. Can anyone post his/hers?
I dont mind how may elements will you be using, as long as the build works.
I also dont mind which skills will you be using (I have all campigains and expensions and high ranks in most of PVE titles).
Thank you in advance!

I'd roll Fire Attunement, Elemental attunement, Rodgort's Ivocation, Arcane Echo, and whatever the hell else you want. Rodgort's was nerfed in the last update, but not enough for the build to become -too- bad.

MB+Rodgort's used to be awesome for ele's but ANet has desecrated that entire build pretty bad. Now you'll have to stick with dual attunements (~5 seconds to cast em both, and if any enchantment removal which is 85% of all campaigns you're SCREWED) and rodgort's.
Here's what i'd use for general PvE
[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill][skill]Fireball[/skill][skill]Liquid Flame[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill]
Maybe drop glyph of sac for [skill]Incendiary Bonds[/skill], i just use it cause most of the time after that 5 seconds of casting most enemies are below 50% anyway, or you can arcane echo rodgort's if that's more your style.

It's an air build with both attunements, Lightning Orb, Lightning Hammer, and optional utility skills like Blinding Flash, Gale, Shell Shock...

Mind Blast can still give me enough energy to power out Great Dwarf Weapon on all my physicals, as well as use Wards when needed; therefore Mind Blast is still win.
OP - when you reach places were Fire eles do shit damage (Hard Mode, Destroyer mobs, etc.), do the smart thing and replace your eles with Warriors and Paragons as damage-dealers instead, and run a support build yourself. You won't regret it.

Got to disagree that fire eles do shit damage in HM. Granted, in some areas e.g. Destroyers, you gain very little from fire and it's probably better for you to choose another skill line.
However, if you think about maintaining burning on foes, rather than direct fire damage you can still be very effective. I find MB + MoR to work fine
Hell, even wanding will keep things burning

Shock arrow is the new meta for pumping out GDW and such, especially against destroyers. Mind blast is better is you want all the nifty fire AoE spells.

At 8 recharge, you might as well be using [skill=text]glowstone[/skill] instead imo.
Weakness is really easy to have around, especially since Enfeebling Blood got buffed out the wazzoo (I can't see why you wouldn't want to have a copy of EB, anyone can use it @ 1 energy); and If you're speccing Earth you get big impressive shiny wards.
Still, there's no skill that quite compares to Mind Blast for keeping energy high, so I'm still Mind blasting atm (not that I've played my ele much recently )

Agreed.
I still believe Mind Blast is the strongest Elementalist skill, but that's just me.

Thank You all.
I am afraid that some of did not understand my question. I have asked for a build for the places where Fire eles are usless, like against Destroyers. The Destroyers are immune to burning and have a lot of energy against fire dmg (I think)...
How could I use the suggested skill Rodgort's Ivocation . I know it causes bouth buning and fire dmg. Wouldnt this skill be useless against Destroyers?

yes very useless. unless you find a ranger with the the skill winter. then everything goes bye-bye. i say if you find a ranger with winter, go with rodgorts inovaation, flare, metoers, metoer, fireball, or whatever else as long as it hurts things.

Flare is bad. Meteor isn't much better. I'm not even sure if winter got unbugged or not :S

oh winter is bugged? sorry i haven't played pve in a while. yes flare is bad. but for me, with only prophecies, we have a limited amount of skills. no mind blast, so flare is next best spammable skill. thats fire.

Supposing I don't have winter, what build would you recomend an elle to use against Destroyers or at the burning area in Sacnoth Valley (I was never realy given a build).

iff you are trying to do dmg with fire builds you would be best to go stout hearted title effect with flare.
other than that go bsurge or go with a winter ranger or pack it on your bar.
